Outdoor Education

In preparation for what is planned to be the biggest and best year of Endless Adventure North East we are finalising and adding the finishing touches to our new website.  Come 2017, we will roll into the new season refreshed and ready for action, new website, new activities and increased offer to the education sector.  Our good friend Jonathan Monkhouse at MOKO has been very busy creating our brand new site.  With extra departments and new additions to our offer we are excited to launch in the next few weeks.

So the new site will have 4 key departments:  Stag and Hen, Corporate, Education and Groups & Individuals.  Here’s a little bit of information to outline what we can offer to the Outdoor Education area.

Education

Another strand to the Endless Adventure North East offer.  All of of our staff have many years of experience working in the Outdoor Education field in a huge variety of roles and remits.

We offer four main areas in Outdoor Education:

Schools, Colleges and Universities.

Whether primary school, secondary or post sixteen and university we can tailor packages to meet your needs.  We have experience in delivering adventure training in the north east and can cater for almost all eventualities.  We can run accredited courses in paddlesport, navigation, climbing and mountain biking.  In addition we can run programmes to meet specific learning outcomes for key stage 1-5, GCSE, A-level and degree courses.   We have worked with a huge range in the past from physical education, BTEC public services and also the Princes Trust Team programme. We can also run residentials for the Team programme.

End of term outdoor adventure activities are always popular and we can offer a range of days to suit most budgets both on land, on the water or a combination of both.  Don’t forget we can provide licensed transport for large groups included in the price so less admin and hassle for the person making the booking.

Alternative Education

We work with a number of organisations who deal with challenging and at risk young people.  Out goal is simple, improve young people’s lives and opportunities by engaging them in outdoor activities.  We create a bespoke package around a group of young people or on a close ratio basis, often on a one to one level.  This enables the young people to really become part of a day or series of days and get the best possible outcome from their time with us.  Our staff have more experience than most at dealing with the most hard to reach young people and have had some great progressions as part of what they do.  Our most popular activities for groups of young people are gorge walking, rock climbing and white water tubing.

Our alternative education provision is ideal for those who are presenting challenging behaviour, poor attendance or lack of motivation.

We work with all organisations both along side young people’s staff or with our own staff only depending on the situation and needs of the young people.

We hold a psv operators license for our buses which means we can offer transport to and from your schools, colleges or pupil referal unit with ease.  All staff are DBS checked, risk assessments and procedures can be provided when needed and our HSE endorsed adventure license means the activities are all vetted to current good practice.  Details about license can be found here.

Positive Activities

Either over the holidays or in the evening or weekend.  We work with a huge range of clients across the North to engage young people in outdoor pursuits and adventure activities that they will not forget.  Either with a set purpose like gaining a kayaking qualification or just for fun, we can create a package that the participants will not forget.

Residentials

Either as part of a course or to get the most out of a group of people we can offer some of the best experiences in the north.  Our residentials are bespoke, based on what the group would like to achieve.  We have a huge range of tried and tested options to chose from and each one can be tweaked to meet your individual needs, we can also create 100% unique experiences depending on what you would like to get out of your time away.

Our residential activities are run by Endless Adventure North East staff who are very passionate about what they do.  Options include classic outdoor activities, see ‘Our Activities’ page here.  Days out to different areas including the Lake District, Northumberland, Yorkshire and County Durham are always very popular options.  We have Group discounts and special rates for education groups are certainly possible, please contact us for a bespoke package to meet your exact needs and budget.

Accommodation

Location is everything, we have accommodation available in an array of areas both catered and non catered.  Schools and Colleges tend to work well in either  bunkhouse or youth hostel style accommodation, we also have the option of hotels, camping and also glamping depending on what is trying to be achieved and also to suit different budgets.

Universities tend to work well with hotel style accommodation with access to more training rooms for seminars and lectures.  Generally these groups will require fully catered options.  Please get in touch to discuss options for your group.

We have a huge range of options and would be only to happy to talk you through what we can do for you and your organisation.  Please get in touch by requesting a call back here or contacting us in whichever way you prefer.  We look forward to providing you with your Endless Adventure.
