FAQs
From booking and pricing to what to expect on the day, everything you need to know is right here.
What happens if the river is too high or too low?
Often, poor weather works in our favour. Providing more water can make our activities quite exciting.
However, it is our responsibility to ensure you are safe at all times.
And, sadly, sometimes we are faced with prolonged dry spells that bring our river levels to a level that may be too low to do certain activities.
Our commitment to you… Appreciating that often these events are one off events (stag, hen or birthday party), we will do our best to put in place a contingency that is equally matched to the activity you have booked. I.e. WW Rafting, this activity would be ideally swapped to tandem WW Rafting or The Combo. Rock Climbing outdoors, this would be swapped to an indoor climbing session.
Changes to bookings are not what we want to do! It is often costly and also, we do not want to let you down. However, we are playing with nature and we can not control the weather.
Our terms and conditions do explain this in detail.
Can you combine courses
We can tailer all of our courses to meet your requirements, subject to minimum numbers.
We have created many packages for schools and outdoor centres. E.g. learning beyond the classroom and first aid combined.
Where does the course take place
Our base is in Lemington, Newcastle. However, some of our practical courses take place at activity venues.
Please submit a contact us form and we will confirm the location.
What is the maximum group size you can accommodate?
We have the infrastructure, vehicles, and certified staff to handle both small and large groups. Get in touch with our team with your participant numbers, and we will build a custom staff-to-participant ratio framework for your outing.
Can your programmes be adapted for students with special educational needs (SEN)?
Yes. Every single educational session is custom-tailored to the specific physical, sensory, and cognitive needs of your group. Our highly skilled instructors are experienced in managing SEMH and neurodivergent profiles, ensuring an inclusive environment where every student can succeed.
Do you accept local authority purchase orders and invoicing?
Absolutely. We work closely with finance departments across North East schools, academy trusts, and local councils (including Newcastle City Council). We can issue official quotes and accept payment via standard B2B invoice processes or corporate purchase orders.
Are you fully licensed and insured for school and youth groups?
Yes, safety is our highest priority. Endless Adventure North East is a fully licensed AALA Activity Provider (Adventure Activities Licensing Authority). We provide comprehensive risk assessments, copies of our public liability insurance, and detailed safety briefs to school administration teams prior to any event.
What happens if the weather is bad?
As outdoor adventure specialists, we operate in rain or shine! For activities like gorge walking or tubing, you’re going to get wet anyway, and we provide top-tier warm wetsuits and safety gear. If conditions are genuinely unsafe, we always have backup plans or alternative sheltered team tasks ready to go.
How does the included corporate transport work?
To make your planning completely stress-free, we can provide private minibus transport. We will pick your team up directly from your office headquarters (whether you are based in Newcastle Center, Gateshead, Sunderland, or Durham), transport you to the activity locations, and bring you safely back at the end of the day.
Does our team need to be highly physically fit?
Not at all. We tailor every corporate away day to the capabilities of your specific group. Activities like the “Team Challenge” and Archery focus heavily on strategy and communication rather than peak fitness, ensuring everyone can fully participate.
What locations across the North East do you cover?
While our main base is in Newcastle upon Tyne, our outdoor corporate activities take place across the best adventure spots in Northumberland, County Durham, and the North Pennines.
Is there a minimum group size?
For private bookings, we require a minimum group size of 8. Our public open sessions run regardless of numbers.
What should I bring to my water based adventure?
You must bring a pair of trainers that you don’t mind getting wet, a towel and some swimwear or spare underwear for under your wetsuit.
Please note, trainers must lace up and have a sturdy sole; sandals, crocs, beach shoes and sandals are not suitable and will not be accepted on our activities.

That’s the start date of the programme. It will finish that same Friday.
